Paper Folding

Solid lines fold up like mountains.
Dotted lines fold in like valleys.

May the force be with you young origami master.

It’s 5:00 AM, Do You Know Where Your Children Are?

I’m still awake, working on weaving my face into a cube.  Come to study Graphic Design, and my knitting skills are put to the test.  Fortunately I had lots of practice sewing buttons back onto my winter jacket because those come off every other week.

Actually Wednesday we finally started doing graphic design in my fundamentals of design class.  While everyone else struggled to understand the graph system for the layout of a magazine article, I was done in a matter of minutes and everyone was coming to me for help.  All those years of designing on a grid with tables and such in Dreamweaver has finally paid off.  Little did I know I had reverse engineered something so major to layout design.  Now if we can just keep doing realistic stuff, I may start to look like I got accepted into the school for legitimate reasons, not because I’m the only western student that’s ever come to the school.

My iPod also arrived this tonight.  The battery seems to be working fine, I’ve got it charged up with full battery and oodles of music.  Been jamming out while sewing.  Makes things so much more bearable.  It will be nice to have it in class to so I can cancel out the annoying 18 year old girls who are well, basically high school children and concentrate on getting some work done.  However they are persistent enough that I may have to get some special noise canceling earphones.  Unfortunetly the sound quality on those isn’t so good.

Okay, no more sewing for me today, I’m going to sleep for 2 hours before I have to get back up and go to school.  That’s enough rambling for now.
